Working with Steel Structures Detailing for the new International Arrivals Facility at Sea-Tac Airport has been a truly collaborative and rewarding experience. The main terminal building topped out in December 2018 with 5,000 tons of structural steel. Development, review, and finalization of 12,000-plus shop drawings were critical to the steel erection and overall construction schedule of the project. Henry and Tim worked closely with our team to identify fabrication challenges and quickly provided solutions such that the aggressive steel fabrication schedule was maintained. SSDI’s collective expertise was invaluable on such a large and complex project. I very much look forward to working with them in the future.
